Diptiman, the CEO & Co-Founder of Captum, is a creative entrepreneur with more than three decades of diverse and cross disciplinary leadership experience.
He has significant strategy, leadership and operations experience in education sector. Diptiman headed EdCIL the only public sector education company in India and grew it rapidly.
He is also credited with conceptualizing and launching India’s own national education brand, ‘Study in India’, covering the entire gamut of country-level internationalization strategies. The brand, partnering 100 odd top Indian HEIs, was end-to-end managed and rapidly expanded by EdCIL under his leadership
Diptiman has worked closely with global universities, international education bodies, tech companies and internationalization service providers including those in US, UK, Canada, and Australia. He has hands on experience in executing student recruitment market entry and expansion strategy especially in Afro-Asian region covering web portal management, agent’s engagement and motivation, call-center, digital marketing, branding, PR, events and scholarship management.
Diptiman has extensive strategy experience in implementing projects involving student recruitment and exchanges, research collaborations and marketing of online learning services. He has successfully created and led motivated teams to deliver on both strategy and roll out services in all areas of internationalization of HEIs.
He, has in the past, engaged with several organizations focused on transnational education like NAFSA, USEFI, IIE, CONAHEC, British Council, BOSSA, College Board and Education wings of Australian embassies.
Diptiman holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Delhi university and an MBA from Swinburne University of Technology (Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship).
He co-founded Captum in view of being extremely passionate about capacity building and internationalization with its transformational power on students, education sectors and economies. The company uniquely aims to disrupt the market by making strategy as a key differentiating focus which is going beyond the present industry offer of standard processes.
